Cookie notice

Applies under the Swiss Telecommunications Act (art. 45c), the EU ePrivacy rules and the UK PECR.

This notice explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on aeovia.ai and in AEOVIA. How we handle personal data in general is described in our privacy policy.

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores for a website. Browser storage (local storage) works in a similar way but is read only by our own pages in your browser; it is not sent to our server.

Legal basis: in Switzerland we inform you under art. 45c of the Telecommunications Act, and you can refuse as described below. In the EU, storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for needs no consent; this includes remembering your settings for the page (ePrivacy Directive art. 5(3)). In the UK the same applies, and storage that adapts the site to your preferences or counts visits needs no consent as long as we tell you and you can object (PECR reg. 6 and Schedule A1). Where a cookie holds personal data, we rely on the contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in running a secure service that remembers your settings (art. 6(1)(f)).

No advertising or tracking cookies

We set no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party cookies on our own pages. We do not store where you came from in your browser: if you arrived from another website, a campaign link or a partner's link, that information travels in the page address and is saved with your free check, your request or your account when you send the form (a partner's code only with an account). If you are already signed in, we note it in your session on our server instead. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser at no cost: without the language and theme cookies the site still works, but signing in and forms need the necessary cookies. To leave your visits out of our statistics, use your browser's tracker blocking.

When you pay or manage billing, you are taken to our payment provider's pages. It sets its own cookies there for payment and fraud prevention, under its own cookie policy.
