Who is responsible

What we collect and why

Account data: your name, email address, password (stored hashed) and team memberships, to provide your account; and whether you asked for our tips emails, and when.
Business data: the business you monitor (name, website, location, competitors, markets, questions), to produce your reports. To write fixes and pages we read the text of your public web pages, and we check them daily to see whether a fix is published.
Report data: the answers AI assistants give to our questions, and the websites they cite.
Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store your subscription status and invoice references, never your card details.
Free check: the business name, town, website and question you enter, plus a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse. We do not store the IP address itself. If you ask for the fix for your answer, we keep your email address to send it and follow up about it, and send occasional tips only if you tick that box; you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Technical data: server logs and error reports needed to run and secure the service.
Your country: looked up from your IP address in a copy of MaxMind's GeoLite2 database on our own server, to show prices in your currency. Nothing is sent to MaxMind and the result is not stored.

Service providers

We use these processors, bound by data processing agreements. Some are located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA; transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini): AI assistants we ask. They receive our questions; to write content plans, market briefs and competitor lookups they also receive your business details.
Perplexity: AI assistant we ask (Pro plan). It receives our questions only.
Plausible: Web statistics without cookies (EU). Counts visits without identifying you.
SerpApi: Reads Google's AI Overview for our questions. It receives the questions only.
Stripe: payments and invoices.
Cloudflare Turnstile: protection against automated abuse on sign-up and the free check.
Infomaniak: hosting of the service and our mailboxes (Switzerland).
Mailjet: sending the service's emails, and our tips emails to people who asked for them (EU).
Sentry: error reports, so we can fix problems.

This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for signing in, security (CSRF protection) and remembering your language and theme. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep data

Account, business and report data for as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (e.g. invoices for 10 years). Free check entries are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing and ask for a copy of your data. Write to hello@aeovia.ai. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local EU data protection authority.
